Matt Lisagor – Owner

Matt Lisagor has been fishing the offshore waters of North Carolina for the last thirty years and has nearly been fishing since the day he was born. He grew up fishing the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding waters. As a child, Matt recalls the fond memories of spending every weekend at the family river cottage located in the Northern Neck of Virginia, a location rich with waterman history. When Matt wasn’t fishing, crabbing, and dodging jellyfish in the Northern Neck he was spending time on the James River in Hampton Roads, VA where he grew up on the water.

As a teenager, Matt started visiting the Outer Banks with his high school sweetheart (Janie). They have now been married for twenty-five years, have two wonderful children (Hannah and Josh), and own a home in Colington Harbour located in Kill Devil Hills. Matt took his first offshore trip in the late 80’s aboard the Tar Heel captained by John Bayliss. Over the next decade, Matt fished with many of the best charter boat captains the Outer Banks had to offer and in 2001 he couldn’t resist the temptation and bought his first boat and started fishing offshore on his own with family and friends.
